The capital is a great place to go shopping. The streets offer a wide range of shops where professional and personalised treatment will guarantee your satisfaction. Puerto del Rosario is also entirely safe, and you can go about confidently in the knowledge that security has always been part of daily life here.
Enjoy the peace of this picturesque seaside town: Take a break at one of the pleasant terraces, bars and cafés; taste local and international cuisine; visit one of the local leisure and culture centres; or simply relax by the sea.
The pedestrian area (on Calle 1º de mayo) is the commercial heart of the town, and is well worth exploring. There are plenty of shops, cafés and parks, as well as monuments like the Iglesia Ntra. Sra. Del Rosario (Church of Our Lady of the Rosary) and the Museo Unamuno.
The other main commercial zones in town can be found nearby, on León y Castillo and Virgen de La Peña streets; a little further away, there is also the El Charco commercial zone and Juan de Betencourt road. All of these together make Puerto del Rosario an ideal shopping destination.
